discussion of a supermarket in Effeltrich

Seit nunmehr einem halben Jahr geht schon die Diskussion über den Supermarkt. Ein Streitthema, das die Menschen splits in Effeltrich into two camps. In an ongoing survey for several weeks on this website there is a head-to-head battle between supporters and opponents of the market. But who really is talking of a market? Two initially wanted to settle - a Edeka towards Kersbach and Norma on the ground between cooperative and Baier Forchheimer Strasse. After repeated refusal of the majority of the council, however, the "Edeka has already given up-market and only the Norma tried steadfastly continue to build in Effeltrich. After the normalization of the plan had repeatedly adapted to the needs of the City Council and were collected regardless of which many signatures for the market, It was even a stalemate in the City Council: 6 votes for the construction, 6 against. Subsequently, the district administration highlighted again the case to the council, whereupon but agreed only 4 councils in favor: Mayor Schmidt (FW), CSU-Malter municipal councils and the DEL grove and Wurmthaler.

The constant back and forth of the municipal councils in every vote was solely the DEL Group consistently for the supermarket, even if our decision was not easy and also from the DEL skeptical voices came to the supermarket.

We would like to take this entry to detail introduce pro-and contra-arguments. Of course not exhaustive - if you want to add an argument, but simply write a comment!

Pro arguments:

- comprehensive, future-oriented supermarket with extended opening times.

- appeal for older fellow citizens and families, because no car is needed more for shopping.

- alleviating the parking situation in the center of the supermarket parking lot

- new jobs locally.

- sailing to Baiersdorf or Forchheim accounts to the weekly big shop they can - less traffic.

- full coverage in place after the removal of the "Ernest" - "Edeka-market and the" Levis "beverage market assured.

cons :

- Customers of "Norma" drive-by Pastor Young Street

Can "free issues" to stop sign.
lets him set up a traffic area unattractive.
If it were so, why not do it all now traveling from the direction of Forchheim / Pinzberg towards Poxdorf / Baiersdorf?

- "Norma" is not the site of

in current state, the place of construction and not just a pearl in the site of all building code requirements dar.
were filled with the Norma.

- Local businesses go because of the new competition a

Keep the change, since for example, in Norma is not a butcher, a baker would a purely local resident.
competition is now time to market economy and lead to service improvements and price reductions. Therefore, it should not be suppressed to the detriment of all citizens.
weeks purchases can be made not only in Effeltrich anyway because of limited supply.

- Increased traffic congestion and problems of the children to school

traffic is to some extent even less because of the abolition on similar trips in supermarkets Baiersdorf, nine churches and Forchheim.
As the market opens only when the children are at school, the school-argument to have died.

- could disrupt delivery sleep

The sleep must be guaranteed. However, there are statutory provisions which should prevent such a situation.
By enclosing the delivery ramp, the noise of work should be minimal.
also had the then "Ernest" supermarket to be delivered, just as now the "Schlecker.
